MISSION: Liminal Terrestrial is a non-profit organization committed to growth, transformation, and healing by providing inclusive access to art and art therapy.
VISION: We imagine a creative and thriving world in which the human need for art and care are inherently recognized, centered, and interwoven with intention into the fabric of our lives.
I am the founder of Liminal Terrestrial, offering art and talk therapies to those seeking support in their healing, and offering community programs to those seeking expansion, growth, and access to art.
My approach is creative and affirming, focusing on strengths and obstacles as you define them and the world around you. In therapy sessions I incorporate Feminist therapy, Liberation psychotherapy, Existential psychology, and Buddhist psychology. I draw from a foundation in trauma-informed-care (a strengths-based lens that suggests there is nothing wrong with any of us, and instead looks closely at what we have experienced as a way of understanding and supporting our healing). I am committed to continue to grow in my multicultural competence. I am person-centered and, taking cues from you, will likely weave creative expression into our process.
I have many years' experience with evidence-based practices as a therapist in behavioral health settings, including both psychiatric and medical hospitals. I bring a background in art and museums and a passion for equity and inclusion to my work. I encourage the use of art (looking, exploring, and making) in my therapeutic process, and also lean upon a range of approaches from traditional talk therapy.
I love what I do. It is my honor to be with you for a part of your life's journey.
